Heron Publications, long time publisher of the well known community based magazines Twist, Wings, So Bolsover and Dronfield Eye has been confirmed as the Official Print Publisher of the forthcoming BrightLife Champions Against Loneliness Awards, to be held at the Casa Hotel, Chesterfield, on February 17th 2023.

The awards evening is a fundraising event at which the local charity BrightLife will acknowledge and celebrate those members of society who have gone above and beyond in their actions to ensure that loneliness and isolation doesn’t occur amongst older people living within Chesterfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.

Mark Cass, business development and marketing manager for the charity said:

“We’re delighted to have Heron Publications on board as the Official Print Publisher of the event. The readership of Heron’s publications fits perfectly with the geographic coverage of the communities that our services support in Chesterfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire. Heron’s advertising and promotion of the awards' application process is helping the charity to identify those members of society who are our Champions Against Loneliness.”

Mike Firth, Director of Heron Publications commented “We are proud how closely our magazines are tied to the fabric of the communities they serve. When we heard that BrightLife was planning to recognise some of the most deserving individuals and groups in these communities, we were interested to find out more.
