HELP US TO HELP MORE
One of our objectives this year is to increase the calls we make. We currently make calls to 95 users in the Chesterfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire area and with your help we want to increase that to 150.
The costs of keeping the charity running means that each call made to a client costs £6 to make.
The more money donated, the more people we are able to reach.

Our Goal is always working towards the prevention of loneliness and isolation in our older communities. This year we want to:

Expand Our Telephone Befriending Project - Our telephone befriending project has been a cornerstone in connecting individuals who might otherwise feel isolated. This year, we aim to befriend even more people through this initiative. By increasing our reach, we hope to provide companionship and a listening ear to those who need it the most. Volunteers will be trained to engage in meaningful conversations, ensuring that everyone feels valued and heard.

Monthly Gatherings with Refreshments - Bringing people together in person can significantly reduce feelings of loneliness. We want to organise monthly gatherings where community members can come together, socialise, and enjoy refreshments. These events will not only provide a platform for interaction but will also create an environment where friendships can flourish. By fostering these relationships, we aim to build a stronger, more connected community.

Raising Awareness of Available Services -​ Many older adults are unaware of the services available to them that can enhance their quality of life. This year, we are committed to increasing awareness of these services.
